Creating an event on RageLife is a piece of cake. From your Activity Feed, select the “Create Event” icon (+) in the center of the tab bar at the bottom of your screen. Then select the type of activity you’d like to create (i.e., ski, hike, etc…), enter the information and click “Done”.

To create an event, you’re only required to enter the following info: Title, Location, Date & Time and some brief Details. However, the more info you provide the more likely people are to join your event. Adding a photo for your event and some good details will help a lot.

You can edit your activity filters at any time, which in turn alters which events are displayed on your Event Feed. Tap the Filters icon in the top right of the Home screen/Event Feed. Select or deselect which activity types you want to see and slide the Search Radius bar to determine the distance you’re willing to travel. Here are some things you can try if there aren’t events showing up on your feed:

Expand your search radius. Go to Filters in the top right of your Event Feed and increase the search radius. This could help if you’re in an area that does not have a large user base on RageLife yet.

Add more activity filters. Go to Filters and select more activity types. This will significantly increase the chances for more events to be displayed on your Activity Feed and you may discover something new.
Create your own events. There may be other people around waiting to join an event that you create so take the first step. It’s fun!

Tell your friends! RageLife is an effective platform for creating and sharing events, even with only a few people. This is your opportunity to grow the platform in your own community with the people you want.

Ahh… the Wildcard. It’s a catch-all category for every type of event imaginable (as long as it’s in accordance with our Terms of Use). The Wildcard is for all events that don’t have a dedicated activity icon, i.e., disc golf, meditation, squirrel suiting.

If the event creator is a “no-show” and did not delete the event and/or did not make any attempt to communicate in advance that they would be unable to attend their own event, here are your options:

1. Let it slide. Perhaps an emergency came up and they did not have a chance to cancel the event.
2. Boycott them. You never have to attend one of their events ever again.
3. Report them. It is a violation of our Terms of Use for a user to create an event that they have no intention of attending. If you notify us we will send the user a warning and for repeat offenders they could have their privileges revoked.

Any specific skill levels, certifications or other requirements should be stated in the “Details” section of the event. If you have any questions you can also post a comment in the “Chatter” section of the event or contact the event creator directly.

Bummer. Here are a few tips to help increase participation around your events:

Create events at least 48 hours in advance. Give your community a chance to plan around your event.
Creative titles work well. As people scan the Event Feed, the title of your event can pique someones interest to tap in and learn more.
High quality photos. The best thing you can do to increase participation is to add a high-quality photo for your event. People want to join events that look FUN!
It’s all in the details. Sometimes the Details (or lack thereof) can make all the difference in the world.
Tell your friends. Perhaps you’re in an area that does not have a large RageLife user base yet. Start by telling your friends about your event and have them download the app so you’re all on it together.

You can join an event by tapping into the event from your Event Feed. From the “Details” screen, select the “Join” button on the event image. In the same way, you can bail on an event.

Yes, if you have Push Notifications enabled then you will be notified of any change to the details of an event you have joined, including if it is canceled. To ensure Push Notifications are enabled, go to Settings on your iPhone and make sure Notifications for RageLife are turned ON.

You can communicate with the event creator in the “Chatter” section of the event up to one hour after the start time of the event. This would be a good place to identify a specific landmark or meeting point. While it’s okay to provide general information (i.e., I’m wearing a blue sweatshirt, red hat, etc..), please refer to our Safety Tips and do not provide any personal information (i.e., phone number) until you have met and are comfortable with providing that information.

Make sure you have the latest version of RageLife and Facebook and try force-quitting the app. If the issue persists, just delete the app from your phone, download it again and reinstall it. As long as you don’t delete your account, this won’t delete your existing profile.

Go to your Profile tab and select the Settings icon in the top left. Select “Send us an email” under the Help section. Edit the subject line of your email to “Delete Account Request”. This will delete your account, profile, etc… Deleting the app does not delete your account.
